The Department of Electrical Engineering at Holy Grcae Polytechnic is fully equipped to fulfill the expectations of young aspiring diploma Engineering students. We emphasize on professional training in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering through well structured theory and practical sessions including case studies and industry internships.
The Department of Electrical Engineering at Holy Grace was established in 1999 as a part of Holy Grace Academy of Engineering and its Polytechnic wing was started in 2019.
The Department of Electrical Engineering at Holy Grcae Polytechnic is fully equipped to fulfill the expectations of young aspiring diploma Engineering students. We emphasize on professional training in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering through well structured theory and practical sessions including case studies and industry internships.
We offer six semester diploma program in Electrical & Electronics Engineering approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and State
board of Technical Education (SBTE) Kerala. The course work at Holy Grace
follows outcome based teaching learning & process as per the curriculum prepared by the State institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research under Government of Kerala.
We follow a best in class evaluation model as per the curriculum, to assess the skill sets of each student through out the course and at the end of each semester. In addition to the regular academic activities we offer following additional opportunities for aspiring students.
1. Soft skills training with the support of Holy Grace B School.
2. Perform design of Electrification schemes and document preparation for appearing B grade Supervisory examination conducted by the Electrical Inspectorate, Government of Kerala.
3. Programming of PLC and Embedded systems through project work.
4. Explore manufacturing process and related activities at various industries through nation wide Industrial visit.
5. Practice repair and maintenance of various machines and controls through Internship at reputed Industries.
6. Support for Placement through internship and campus interviews
7, Assistance for performing study at various international universities and colleges through study abroad programme.

In addition to the academic excellence of students, we also focus on nurturing better personal and inter personal behavior and to transform each student to responsible citizen. The Electrical Association, a forum of students and faculty under the department of Electrical engineering is committed to organize various technical and cultural programs to make the campus more student friendly and enjoyable.
We also have parent and teacher associations both at the institution level and at the class level to fine tune academic and professional activities of the department

Electrical Engineering is one of core area of Engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism.
In this era of technological development, many job rolls are being identified locally as well as globally which are suitable only to the people who are skilled in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. These job rolls include, Software development for technical applications, Supervision of installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities of electrical utilities in industrial, power, transportation and renewable energy sectors.
This programme is designed to develop the ability to apply the fundamentals of Science, Engineering and Mathematics to solve real life Engineering problems and motivate higher studies and to become a successful entrepreneur in the long run. This programme also enables the students to take admission directly in to the second year of the degree program of Electrical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering to pursue higher studies.
As a part of the programme, students have the opportunity to undergo internship at various industries and execute engineering projects in and outside theinstitution.
