The department focuses on providing a sound academic foundation for the intake of 120 as well as hands-on practical experience in a wide range of technologies. It gives students a chance to show off their unique and creative abilities.

The department has provided excellent infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities that comprise well-equipped laboratories which include Fluid Mechanics Lab, Hydraulic Machines Lab, IC Engines Lab, Machine Shop, CAD Lab, Thermal Engineering Lab, and Basic Workshop with a strong backbone of well-experienced faculty. The department includes a wide range of activities like design, development, production, control, and management of Engineering as well as the human workforce system.
